Questions we get before the estimate.
If yours is not here, call the Lancaster office and ask. We would rather answer it on the phone than have you guess.
How much does basement waterproofing cost in Lancaster County?
It depends on how much wall you need to drain and what the ground is doing, which is why every estimate is free and in writing before anything starts. Most Lancaster County jobs land between a single-wall drain and a full perimeter system with a sump. There is no money down and financing is available.
Do you charge for the inspection?
No. A Basement Gurus estimator comes out, reads the water path, and gives you a written scope and price at no cost and with no obligation.
How long does the work take?
Most interior drainage and sump installations are one to three days. Foundation stabilization is usually a day. Encapsulation runs two to four days depending on the size of the crawl space.
Is the warranty really for the life of the home?
Our waterproofing systems carry a lifetime warranty, and it transfers with the house when you sell — which matters more than most homeowners realize at closing time.
Will you work with my insurance?
Yes. We document the damage properly and deal with adjusters regularly, particularly on water and mold claims.
Do I have to leave the house during the work?
No. Crews work in the basement or crawl space, contain the dust, and clean up at the end of each day. Mold remediation is the one case where we may ask you to stay out of the immediate area.
What if it floods again after you are done?
You call us and we come back. That is what the warranty is for, and it is why we would rather size the system correctly the first time than win a job on price.
Are you actually local to Lancaster?
Our Lancaster office is at 2348 Harrisburg Pike. When you call, you reach our team — not a national call center routing your address to a subcontractor.
